Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova, in a press briefing yesterday, said Yerevan’s participation in conflict settlement negotiations with Baku can contribute to the "reduction of the current tension" between the parties.

"We believe that official Yerevan's active participation in the search for mutually acceptable solutions will contribute to easing current tensions," she said.

Zakharova noted that Russia continues to believe that Baku and Yerevan must fulfill all the obligations defined by the tripartite agreements including "in terms of ensuring security in Nagorno-Karabakh and using the Lachin Corridor".
