Armenian Apostolic Church Supreme Patriarch Garegin II today, in Etchmiadzin, met with visiting members of the German Bundestag’s Germany-South Caucasus Friendship Group.

Catholicos Garegin II, according to his office, described the challenges of preserving the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh and thanked Germany for its support to Armenia and Artsakh during and after the 2020 Karabakh war, expressing hope that the international community will make consistent efforts to prevent Azerbaijan's belligerent anti-Armenian policy.

Tabea Rößner, Vice President of the Germany-South Caucasus Friendship group, stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various fields and to establish peace and stability in the region.
