National Security Service - $1.1 Million Channeled to Oskanian's and Civiltas Board Member Bank Accounts
The RA National Security Service (NSS) stated today their investigation into criminal money laundering charges against former foreign minister Vardan Oskanian deals with a financial transaction that wasn’t properly reported to Armenian tax officials.
The NSS mentions the names of Polymer Materials and Huntsman International, two U.S. registered corporations who are said to have owned Huntsman Building Products, a company established in Armenia.
The two U.S. corporations are said to have sold 100% shares of Huntsman Building for $2 million.
The NSS alleges that some $1.1 million of the proceeds didn’t go to charitable purposes as declared, but rather was channelled to the personal bank accounts of Civiltas President and Founder Vardan Oskanian and Civiltas Board member Tigran Karapetyan.
