Armenian, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers to Meet in Russia
The Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers will hold talks in Russia in May, this according to the Azeri Press Agency quoting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
"The next round of negotiations between the foreign ministers of the two countries should take place in Russia this month," Aliyev said.
He noted that direct negotiations between the two countries are most useful and necessary. "I think that we should move in this direction in the future, if, of course, Armenia is also ready for it," said Aliyev.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhum Bayramov are now holding normalization talks in the U.S.
While Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan yesterday announced that a document is on the table, he didn’t elaborate.
