Medical Supplies Dwindling, Says Artsakh Health Ministry
The Artsakh Ministry of Health reports that medical supplies are running dangerously low in local hospitals due to Azerbaijan’s total closure yesterday of the Lachin Corridor to all humanitarian aid.
The ministry says scores of patients scheduled to travel to Armenia for medical treatment remain in Karabakh. Patients treated in Armenia remain stranded and can’t return to Karabakh.
Medical supplies had been getting through to Artsakh via the International Red Cross.
Yesterday, Armenian and Azerbaijani troops exchanged gunfire near the Hakari Bridge at the entrance to the Lachin Corridor. Yerevan and Baku accused the other of firing first.
