Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan attended the opening of the 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Berlin on June 17

A small team from Armenian will participate in the games in which 7,000 Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners from approximately 190 countries will compete in 26 sports.

During the event, President Khachaturyan greeted and had a short conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser.

During the working visit, Khachaturyan will meet with the German president Germany, the country’s top leadership, and representatives of the Armenian community," Khachaturyan’s office reports.
