Armenian, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers to Meet in Washington D.C.
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan are in Washington D.C. for talks to normalize relations between their two countries.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will meet with Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov today, and the three-way meetings will continue until Thursday.
Asked whether Washington has any new approach or direction for negotiations, U.S. State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller told reporters: "We definitely have a number of issues that we want to discuss. Obviously, I won't read them publicly. They are very important. Delicate diplomatic discussions will take place here.
Miller added that the United States still believes that peace is within reach, and "direct dialogue is the key to solving the remaining problems and achieving a solid and worthy peace."
