Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, during a press briefing today, called on Baku to end its blockade of the Lachin Corridor and ensure the safe passage of people and goods.

Zakharova said the ongoing Azerbaijani blockade of the Lachin Corridor violates the ceasefire agreement, signed by Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan that ended the 2020 Artsakh war.

Zakharova said Moscow is concerned about the worsening humanitarian crisis in Karabakh and is in touch with Yerevan and Baku to decrease tensions in the region.
