Dozens of buses gathered in Stepanakert's Revival Square today and plan to drive   to the Hakari Bridge where Azerbaijanis have set up an illegal checkpoint.

The convoy’s organizer, Chairman of the Artsakh Revolutionary Party Artur Osipyan, says its aim is to open the Lachin Corridor.

"We must do everything until the corridor is opened and until the five-kilometer width of the corridor is secured. The Azerbaijanis should be 2.5 kilometers away from both sides of the corridor. This is the solution to the problem," says Osipyan.

He notes that those participating have expressed their willingness to provide fuel from their homes and cars to organize the bus convoy.

"Due to security reasons, only men will be in the first buses of the procession. We want everyone to know that this will be a peaceful convoy. At the same time, we are waiting for our road near Shushi to be blocked. We will put up tents and stay until there’s a result. We must understand that the situation is difficult and there are no easy solutions to get out of this situation," says Osipyan.

Osipyan says the buses now parked can transport about 700 people, noting their number will increase.

"I cannot say exactly when we will start. But a day before the we leave there will be a rally and everyone will be informed about the event," says Osipyan.
