Russian Peacekeepers Remove Artsakh Activists from Base
Russian peacekeepers used an armored vehicle today to remove a group of Artsakh activists who yesterday blocked the entrance to a base used by the peacekeepers in the town of Ivanyan (Khojaly) in Nagorno Karabakh’s Askeran province.
Artur Osipyan, one of the activists, accused the peacekeepers that they aren’t fulfilling their obligation, as specified in the 2020 Karabakh war ceasefire agreement, to open the Lachin Corridor.
Osipyan told them that Azerbaijan’s ongoing blockade of the roadway imperils the lives of 120,000 Artsakh residents.
Osipyan recorded his encounter with the peacekeepers and posted the above video on Facebook.
