Pashinyan Says Azerbaijan Is Planning New Military Attack

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today urged the international community to take serious measures to prevent new Azerbaijani military strikes against Nagorno Karabakh and the Republic of Armenia.

Pashinyan, at a cabinet session, said Azerbaijan has been amassing troops along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the Karabakh line of contact, thus “demonstrating its intention to launch a new military provocation.”

Pashinyan reiterated his call for Baku-Stepanakert dialog under international supervision and the immediate reopening of the Lachon Corridor.

“On this basis, the Republic of Armenia is ready and wants to sign a peace and relations settlement agreement with Azerbaijan, and we express our commitment to the peace agenda,” Pashinyan said.
