Azerbaijan Continues Troop Movements Along Border, Says Pashinyan

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today, at a government cabinet session, said Azerbaijan continues to move troops along the border with Armenia and the Karabakh line of contact.

Pashinyan said all diplomatic efforts are underway to get much needed humanitarian aid to Karabakh, noting that trucks carrying assistance from Armenia and those sent by France remain parked at the entrance to the Lachin Corridor.

“It is important to emphasize that representatives of Nagorno-Karabakh are fully involved in these negotiations and discussions. We hope that a reliable international mechanism of Baku-Stepanakert dialogue will be created, and we encourage and encourage our partners in Stepanakert to engage in such a dialogue," he said.

Pashinyan reported that Armenia has received new feedback from Baku regarding the text of a peace treaty between the two countries.

Yesterday, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told the country’s parliament serious disagreements remain on several important issues.

“"Peace has no alternative in our region, and it’s the only solution that guarantees the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and security of our countries, the countries of our region, which is a necessary and a fundamental condition for normal development and progress," Pashinyan said.
