Yerevan: Protesters Continue to Demand Pashinyan’s Resignation
Protesters continue to block streets in downtown Yerevan, demanding the resignation of Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan.
People started rallying in the Armenian capital following Azerbaijan’s September 19 attack on Karabakh.
Today, protesters encircled the Government Building in Yerevan and then marched through the city’s downtown after learning Pashinyan wasn’t in the building.
Police detained several protesters, but the march continued. The political opposition has called for work and school strikes and has announced a regime-change rally this evening.
