
U.S. Senator Gary Peters in Armenia for Talks with Pashinyan
A U.S. congressional delegation led by Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) has arrived in Yerevan and is scheduled to meet with Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and other officials to discuss Armenian-U.S. relations and the plight of Karabakh Armenians following the September 19 Azerbaijani offensive.
The U.S. embassy in Armenia reports Peters will lay a wreath at Yerevan’s Genocide Memorial and will visit the country’s Syunik Province to discuss security and humanitarian challenges with local officials.
