Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today received a delegation headed by the Chairman of the Cyprus-Armenia Interparliamentary Committee of the Cyprus House of Representatives, Haris Georgiades.

Pashinyan, according to his office, appreciated the level of inter-parliamentary cooperation and political dialogue between the two countries. Pashinyan thanked the Cypriot House of Representatives for condemning the Azerbaijani blockade of the Lachin Corridor and stressed the importance of steps to expand economic cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus.

Georgiades condemned Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansening the implementation of the policy of ethnic cleansing of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh and emphasized the humanitarian support of the international community to the forcibly displaced population of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Georgiades reiterated Cyprus's support for the protection of Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Recent regional developments were also discussed.
