Azerbaijan Releases 32 Armenian Soldiers
Azerbaijan has released thirty-two Armenian soldiers six days after Armenia and Azerbaijan issued a joint statement on a soldier swap deal aimed at accelerating a peace agreement between the two countries.
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, in a Facebook post today, writes that the soldiers have been transferred to Armenia and will undergo a medical check before being returned to their homes.
Armenia, according to the joint statement, will release two Azerbaijani military servicemen.
