September 19, 2023: The Last Tuesday of Artsakh's Sarushen Village
Sergey Gasparyan and Armenuhi Aghajanyan lived in Sarushen, a village in Artsakh's Askeran region.
After studying together at Stepanakert State University and getting married, they were sent to Sarushen as mathematics teachers in 1986. Sergey Gasparyan later became director of the school.
On September 19, 2023, after thirty-eight years of living and working in Sarushen, they were among the thousands forcibly displaced from Artsakh and now live in Zovuni, a village in Armenia's Kotayk Province. They now teach at the Buzhakan village school, thirty kilometers from their new home.
The project was implemented with the financial support of Media Initiatives Center within the framework of "Expanding Production of Independent Content" project.
