Former Artsakh Defense Army Colonel Norayr Aslanyan, charged with illegal arms trafficking, can be exempt from house arrest if he pays bail of two million drams (US$5,000).

Aslanyan, who spent six months in detention, was granted the lesser restraining order of house arrest last December.

Aslanyan maintains he’s innocent of the charge.

In 2021, Aslanyan was appointed deputy head of the Artsakh president’s security staff.
