Jailed Former Artsakh State Minister Ends Hunger Strike
The family of former Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, now held in isolation in a Baku jail, says he has ended his three-week hunger strike.
The family, in a statement, says international pressure forced Baku to allow Vardanyan’s wife to speak with him for a second time in three weeks.
Azerbaijan’s State Security Service (SSS) detained Ruben Vardanyan last September as he attempted to travel from Karabakh to Armenia via the Lachin Corridor. He now faces various “terrorism” charges.
