Republican Party MP Vahe Hakobyan only trails Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan in terms personal wealth in Armenia’s legislature.

Vahe, the son of Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine Director General Maksim Hakobyan, is only 35 year-old but is well on the way to financial success.

In 2011, Vahe Hakobyan declared 875.9 million AMD in revenues of which only 3.1 million was his salary as a legislator.  

At the end of 2011, his cash holding amounted to 1.4 billion AMD.

Hakobyan owns shares in a number of companies including Armenia Molybden and Niash.

He declared a whopping 1.6 billion in revenues in 2009 and 906 million in 2010.
