Armenia will spend 122.9 million AMD (US$318K) to renovate sections of the 1,300 seat Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan.

The concert hall opened its doors on May 17, 1953 as the “Great Hall of the Armenian Philharmonic”.

The hall, designed by Alexander Tamanian, was last renovated in the early 1980s.

The hall is the home of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra formed in 1924.
