
Pashinyan, Pezeshkian Stress Regional Stability, Greater Cooperation
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met today in Tehran and discussed future relations between their two countries.
Earlier, Pashinyan attend Pezeshkian’s swearing-in ceremony in the Iranian parliament.
The two stressed the importance of fostering further bilateral cooperation and their desire to establish peace and stability in the region.
Pezeshhkian, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency, described relations between the two countries as historical, friendly, and based on good neighborliness.
The two discussed issues related to the strengthening of trade and economic ties and the implementation of new joint programs in the fields of healthcare, modern technologies, education, science, and culture.
Pezeshkian, according to a Pashinyan office press release, noted that he visited Armenia in a private capacity and has warm impressions of the country and people.
When Pezeshkian allegedly visited Armenia isn’t known.
