Armenia's Malkhas Amoyan Wins Bronze at Paris Olympics

Armenia’s Malkhas Amoyan won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics after besting Aram Vardanyan, representing Uzbekistan, in the Greco-Roman wrestling 77 kg weight category.

This was Amoyan’s first Olympics performance and Armenia’s second medal win at the Paris Olympics.

Amoyan, twenty-five, was born in Yerevan and won a gold medal in the 77 kg event at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania.

Artur Davtyan clinched a silver medal in the vault competition earlier this week.

Armenia’s Artur Aleksanyan will fight for the gold medal in the 97 kg weight category of Greco-Roman style wrestling later today.
