Canadian Ambassador to Armenia Andrew Turner travelled to Amenia’s southern Syunik Province yesterday on a fact-finding mission.

Syunik Provincial Governor Robert Ghukasyan, in the provincial capital Kapan, welcome Turner and congratulated him on the opening of the Canadian Embassy in Yerevan last October.

This is Turner’s first visit to Syunik.

Turner told Ghukasyan that his country is ready to facilitate dialog between Canadian and local businesses.

Turner visited the regional airport near Kapan, which reopened in 2023 after years of renovation delays and cost overruns.
