Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science has granted nine historical and cultural objects in Yerevan and Kotayk Province the status of “newly discovered monuments”.

The Yerevan sites, all residential buildings, are: 36 Abovyan St, (1950s), 39-41 Abovyan St. (1950s), 1 Baghramyan Ave. (1945), 60 S. Khanzadyan St. (19th century), 94 S. Khanzadyan St (end of the 19th - beginning of 20th century), 100 S. Khanzadyan St. (end of 19th - beginning of 20th century).

The second century B.C. fortresses in the Kotayk villages of Arzakan and Karashamb received the status of monuments of republican significance, and the cemetery in Karashamb was given the status of immovable historical and cultural monuments of Kotayk Province.
