Armenia Leases Yerevan Building to Holy See

Armenia will lease a building located at 12 Baghramyan Street in Yerevan to the Holy See, the government of the Roman Catholic Church, for a period of 99 years with an annual rent of US$1.

The building formerly housed the Chinese Embassy.

In return, the Holy See will allocate space in a building near St. Peter’s Square (Vatican City) to the Armenian Embassy and will cover the renovation costs.

The building at 64 Via della Conciliazione (Road of the Conciliation) houses the embassies of other countries to the Holy See.

Presently, the Embassy of Armenia in the Holy See is located at Via dei Corridori 64 in Rome. The Holy See’s Embassy in Yerevan is at 10 Northern Avenue, Yerevan.
