Pashinyan Thanks Pope Francis for Efforts to Free Armenian Detainees in Baku
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Pope Francis, during a private conversation at the Vatican today, discussed Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks and other topics of mutual concern.
Pashinyan, according to his office, thanks Poe Francis for inviting him to the Vatican and emphasized Armenia's full support of the Holy See’s efforts on various international platforms to facilitate world peace.
Heb also thanked Pope Francis for his calls for the release of Armenian detainees in Baku.
Following their meeting, Pope Francis greeted Nikol Pashinyan’s wife, Anna Hakobyan, their daughter Arpi, and members of the Armenian delegation to the Vatican.
The family then visited the Vatican Museum.
