EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia: Border is Calm

On March 16-17, the European Union Monitoring Mission in Armenia sent patrols to various parts of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.  

“The situation remains calm and peaceful, no unusual activity has been recorded,” the Mission reports.

The Armenian Defense Ministry, on March 16, denied Azerbaijani  statements that units of the Armenian Armed Forces had opened fire on Azerbaijani positions.
