
Armenia's Football Team Drops to 102nd Place in FIFA Ranking
FIFA, in its latest ranking of national footballs teams today, ranked Armenia 102nd, a drop of two spots following its recent defeats against Georgia (0-3, 1-6).
Reigning world champion Argentina tops the list, followed by Spain, France, England, Brazil, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, and Germany.
Armenia’s upcoming opponents in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup includes Portugal, in 7th place, Hungary (37th) , and Ireland (60th).
On June 6, Armenia will play an away friendly match with Kosovo, which is currently in 97th place. The team visits Montenegro (73rd place) for a friendly match on June 9.
Among former USSR countries, Ukraine has the best ranking (25th), followed by Russia (35th), Uzbekistan (57th), Georgia (68th), and Belarus (98th) The others are in lower positions than Armenia’s national team.
Among Armenia’s neighbors, Iran enjoys the highest ranking (18th), followed by Turkey (27th), Georgia (68th), and Azerbaijan (119th)
