23,600 Passengers for "Armenia" Train to Batumi Since June 15

23,600 passengers taken the “South Caucasus Railway”   brand train “Armenia” since it srated to ply the “Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan” route. This figure is 12.2% higher than the data in 2011 when a little more than 21,000 passengers were transported for the period from June 15 to August 9.

In total, 34,899 tickets were sold for the brand train "Armenia", which is 26.3% over last year's figure of 27.6 thousand tickets during the period from June 1 to August 9.

At the same time only in the period from 1st to 9th August 7512 passengers were transported (an increase of 25.3% over the same period 2011) and 6787 tickets were sold (an increase of 74.6%).

On the average since August 5 daily more than 500 passengers leave for the destination to Batumi. For comparison, on July 12 this figure was 200 passengers, on July 15 more than 300 passengers left for resorts and on July 20 more than 400 people left. On an average, since August 5 in the direction “Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan” 900 passengers have been transported daily.

“South Caucasus Railway” reports that the number of cars included in the train also grows. Currently it includes 14 cars, and on 4th and 6th August it included 16 cars.
