Armenia Received $82 Million in Humanitarian Aid in 2024

Armenia received US$86 million in humanitarian aid in 2024, 52% from the U.S.

This is a 5.5-fold increase compared to the previous year.

Germany was the second biggest donor Germany ($8.3 million), followed by France ($3.8 million).

According to data published by Armenia’s Statistical Committee, total humanitarian aid sent to Armenia  increased 2.4 times compared to 2023.

The lion's share of the humanitarian aid received, 74%, was chemistry and related industrial products, i.e., mainly medicine.

Also received were vehicles ($6.2 million), non-precious metals and products made with them ($5.2 million), textiles ($3.3 million), devices and apparatus ($3.2 million), as well as mechanisms ($2.2 million).

Humanitarian aid received by Armenia sharply decreased at the beginning of 2025

In January-April, $12.1 million in aid was received, a four-fold decrease compared to the same period of the previous year, mainly due to a drop in medicines.
