J. Lo to Replace Snoop Dogg at Yerevan Concert
Pop superstar Jennifer Lopez (J. Lo) is scheduled to replace American rapper Snoop Dogg for a concert in Yerevan that was scheduled for September 2023 but never took place.
The Armenian government today announced it has finalized the deal with Doping Space, the company it paid AMD 2.318 billion (US$6 million) to organize Snoop Dogg’s concert.
The government claims no additional funds will be paid to bring Lopez to Armenia and to organize the concert scheduled for August 3 at Yerevan’s Republican Stadium.
The Armenian government decided to postpone Snoop Dogg’s 2023 concert given Azerbaijan’s military assault on Artaskh in September of that year.
In January 2025, the Armenian government blamed concert organizer Doping Space for failing to reschedule the Snoop Dogg concert and demanded that the company return the money it received to pay the rapper’s royalties, concert security and insurance expenses, and provide high-quality technical equipment.
Those who purchased tickets to see the American rapper never got their money back.
