
Pashinyan, EU Commissioner Discuss Partnership Agenda
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and European Union Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos met today in Brussels and discussed issues related to the new Armenia-EU partnership agenda and the implementation of ambitious strategic actions defined therein.
The parties, according to Pashinyan's office, touched upon the upcoming tasks and prospects for deepening cooperation, emphasizing that in recent years Armenia-EU relations have acquired a new quality and depth.
Pashinyan thanked the EU for its consistent support for the effective implementation of institutional reforms in our country and emphasized the interest of the Armenian Government in introducing EU standards in all areas.
Kos stressed the EU's readiness to continue the steps to deepen and expand ties with Armenia in various directions.
The parties noted with satisfaction the fact of the effective dialogue on visa liberalization and noted that significant progress has been recorded in that direction as well.
They also exchanged views on the opportunities created in the region as a result of the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the implementation of the TRIPP project and Armenia's Crossroads of Peace project.
