Levon Zurabyan to Run for Prime Minster in 2026 Election
The Armenian National Congress (HAK - Hay Azgayin Kongres) party has selected Levon Zurabyan to run for the post of prime minister in the 2026 parliamentary election.
Zurabyan currently serves as HAK’s deputy chairman.
At a Yerevan press conference today, Zurabyan highlighted Armenia’s security challenges as his party’s main issue, followed by private sector economic development.
The HAK garnered a mere 1.5% of the vote in Armenia’s 2021 parliamentary election, thus failing to win any seats in the parliament.
The party says it will try to form an alliance with different political forces in the 2026 election.
