According to a Hetq source, police today arrested seven current and former officials of the Vanadzor Municipality on various bribery and fraud charges.

Anti-Corruption Committee Press Secretary Marina Ohanjanyan, in response to a Hetq inquiry, confirmed that ten people were arrested within the framework of the criminal investigation.

In addition to the seven municipal officials, police also arrested three citizens involved in the case.

Vanadzor, Armenia’s third largest city with a population of some 75,000, is the capital of the country’s Lori Province.
