The Holy Easter holiday is a day dedicated to life, hope, and Christian victory. The Christian world celebrates it with great pomp, opening a new page of life with it and welcoming it with special traditions and symbolic rituals.
Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the [new] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins (Matt. 26:26-28)
Wine, as a living symbol of Christ’s sacrifice, testifies to Christ’s sacrifice and the new covenant. It is an integral part of the holiday because it carries the symbol of faith and continuity, as the shed blood of Christ. In Christianity, Easter is directly connected with the symbolic meaning of wine as an image of Christ’s blood and a sign of the covenant.
Wine on the Easter table is also a sign of joy and rebirth; We celebrate the feast of the Resurrection with wine, depicting the completeness of salvation, life, and rebirth.
The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates Easter this year on April 5. The symbolic image of the holiday is, of course, completed by beautiful Armenian traditions, dishes that spread the taste of family warmth and gather the most beloved around the Easter table, and of course, wine - the Armenian, delicate wine, the aroma of which symbolizes the good news of Easter.
“And wine that gladdens the heart of man”
Psalm 104:15
And it is precisely this joy that we share on Easter with family and loved ones.
Let’s welcome Easter with Armenian aromatic wine.
