Armenia will acquire six multi-purpose H145 helicopters as part of an effort to modernize its rotorcraft fleet.

The deal, valued at an undisclosed amount, was finalized during French President Emmanuel Macron’s official state visit to Yerevan in May.

According to the manufacturer, the H145’s strong performance in high-altitude and hot conditions makes it well suited to Armenia’s varied, mountainous terrain. Its five-bladed version offers greater payload capacity, a smoother flight experience, and simpler maintenance.

The announcement did not specify a delivery timeline. However, with H145 backlogs reportedly closer to four years than three, the first aircraft is likely to arrive in late 2029 or early 2030.
