“Hetq’s” on the scene correspondent reports that the rally at the Matenadaran has ended and that the throngs of people are winding their way down Mashtots Avenue towards Myasnikian Statute, the site of last year’s tragic events, that resulted in the deaths of ten Armenians. The crowds will gather there to lay wreaths of flowers in silent commemoration.
Meanwhile, Levon Ter-Petrosyan told the rally goers that the next rally by the opposition will be held on May 1st and that a march will be organized on April 24th to the Tzitzernakaberd Genocide Memorial just like last year.
During his address, Levon Ter-Petrosyan didn’t rule out the possibility that the current regime might resign due to the current economic crisis or that they might invite the Armenian National Congress to form a coalition government.
