According to press reports, the ruling Republican Party is scheduled to call a party session to discuss the make-up of its delegation for talks with the opposition HAK.

Party spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov told Hetq that he wasn't aware of any such session. "I am a member of the party council but no one has told me anything. Usually, if the board is to meet, I'd be informed," Sharmazanov stated.

He also stated that the party hasn't even reviewed the HAK proposal for talks.

"We are always ready to resolve problems through dialogue with all political forces since it's the best path towards democracy."

When asked about the HAK demand for snap elections, Sharmazanov ruled out any such possibility, saying there is no such necessity.
