Armenian National Assembly Speaker Ruben Rubinyan and Egypt’s Ambassador to Armenia Amal Afifi met in Yerevan today and stressed the importance of expanding interstate and interparliamentary cooperation, emphasizing the role of parliamentary friendship groups.

The two officials, according to Rubinyan’s office, noted the centuries-old friendship between their two peoples, as well as the excellent relations established between Armenia and Egypt over the past decades.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
