State and Church Leaders Pay Their Respects at Yerablour Military Cemetery

To mark the 21st anniversary of Armenia’s independence, high ranking state and church leaders made their way to Yerevan’s Yerablour Military Cemetery to pay their respects to those who gave their lives in the cause of freedom.

President Serzh Sargsyan and Catholicos Garegin II led the entourage, including Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan and Yerevan Mayor Taron Sargsyan, to the cemetery where they laid wreaths at the eternal flame.

The photo shows Mayor Sargsyan talking to relatives of the freedom fighters. In the background (2nd from right) is Artsakh Primate Pargev Martirosyan.
