
Armenian MP Wins Re-Election in Ninotzminda
In Sunday’s parliamentary elections in Georgia, Henzel Mkoyan, the current MP from the Ninotzminda District won re-election with 83.5% of the vote in his single mandate race.
Mkoyan’s closest rival was opposition candidate Albert Nourbekyan who garnered 15%. There were two other Armenian candidates who trailed far behind.
Saakashvili’s party won some 80% of the votes cast for the proportional ballot in the district as well.
