Armenia's National Security Service Claims to Have Foiled Azerbaijani Plot

Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) claims that it has uncovered yet another plot hatched by the Azerbaijani secret services to tarnish Armenia’s name internationally.

The NSS states that on September 24, Uzbekistan citizen Zamirzhon Otazhanov, presented him to Armenian law enforcement and stated that he was ready to explode a bomb in Baku in return for $20,000.

The NSS states that the entire scenario was hatched by the Azerbaijani secret service to portray Armenia as a country that foments terrorism and that it sought to direct international attention away from the Ramil Safarov affair.

The NSS states that Otazhonov has since been deported.
