Armenia's U.N. Ambassador Issues Baku Memo

Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Karen Nazaryan, has circulated a letter within the organization lambasting the “anti-Armenian” measures taken by Azerbaijan in the U.N.

In his letter addressed to U.N. General Secretary Ban Ki-moon, Ambassador Nazaryan asks that particular attention be paid to Baku’s continuing ant-Armenian propaganda. Nazaryan argues that Azerbaijan has been abusing its privilege of membership in the United Nations.

Armenia’s representative notes that amidst all this anti-Armenia and Karabakh rhetoric, Baku continues to overlook calls by the U.N. and the Minsk Group to pull back its snipers from the Artsakh frontline.
