Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan today hosted  the newly appointed Georgian     Ambassador  to Armenia, Tengiz Sharmanashvili.

Minister Ohanyan congratulated the Ambassador on assuming his new diplomatic mission and expressed the hope that his appointment would serve as a new impetus for the development of Armenian-Georgian military cooperation.

Issues related to Armenian-Georgian cooperation in the field of defense were discussed.

Attaching importance to the defense cooperation with Georgia, Seyran Ohanyan said it could contribute to reinforcement of regional stability and security.
