"Democratic Homeland" Party Calls for United Opposition Ballot for President
In a public statement, Armenia’s “Democratic Homeland” party has called on opposition presidential candidates Hrant Bagratyan, Paruyr Hayrikyan and Raffi Hovannisian to form a united ticket in which only one will appear on the February ballot.
The party says this is the only way the electorate can vote for a unified opposition candidate and thus make their ballots count in a meaningful way to oust the current regime which the party labels as “reactionary and denationalized” and which has seized power in Armenia through unconstitutional means coupled with brute force.
