Armenia's Deputy Health Minister Visits Presidential Candidate on Hunger Strike
RA Deputy Health Minister Vahan Poghosyn today visited presidential candidate Andreas Ghoukasyan who’s been staging a hunger strike outside the Academy of Sciences.
Ghouskasyan told Poghosyan that he had no immediate health issues other than an overall state of weakness and said that he decided to continue his strike lying down to conserve energy.
Poghosyan suggested that Ghoukaskyan be examined in hospital but the candidate rejected the offer. Ghoukasyan did agree to seek hospital care if he experienced any loss of consciousness.
Doumanyan instructed that emergency first aid staff monitor Ghoukasyan’s health on a 24 hour basis starting today.
