Today, on April 29, the international seminar "The role of Youth NGO's in Information Society" that had brought together 35 youth leaders from different Council of Europe member countries, came to the end.
The project was organized by the World Armenian Youth Network - WostAYN with the support of European Youth Foundation and Ministry of Sport and Youth affairs of Armenia.
During past 7 days young people from France, Latvia, Germany, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Belarus, etc. managed not only to introduce youth policies in their countries, but also develop new projects together.
The main goal of the project was to share experience and raise awareness on different types/ methods of youth work (by using IT, social media) in today's information society within the international group of youth leaders, as well as to foster youth networking and form bases for long-lasting cooperation among partner countries and youth organizations.
"The group participated in the Pan-Armenian Youth Forum "The Armenian is in my heart" organized by the Ministry of Diaspora and then worked on development of their new ideas. The seminar offers possibilities for meetings with representatives of mass media, experts and organisations dealing with the topic addressed", said Atom Mkhitaryan, the coordinator of the project.
The participants had a possibility to introduce the Armenian communities and youth organisations, discuss future joint projects.
The seminar was organized by the support of the European Youth Foundation and the Ministry of Sport and Youth affairs of RA.
