Celebrations of May Triple Holiday in Tbilisi

The concert on 10 May, 2013, at TBILISI ART HALL, organized by the Educational and Cultural Center  “Hayartun” at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia and supported by the RA Ministry of Culture, was the logical conclusion of May triple holiday. Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vahagn Afyan, Ambassador Advisor Levon Torgomyan, clergy of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, officials, intellectuals, businessmen, visitors from Yerevan and Javakheti, members of the Armenian community in Georgia attended the concert.

Apart from the fact that the concert, dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the liberation of Shushi, was a festive ceremony, it was also a bow to the memory of our compatriots killed in the way of achieving the victory. The video sequences about the Great Patriotic War, the liberation of Shushi and Artsakh War heroes, that flashed on the screen in the back of the stage, served as the reminder of that fact.

Monte Melkonian, Leonid Azgaldyan, Vazgen Sargsyan, Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan, the Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in Artsakh Bishop Pargev Martirosyan – this are the men, who heroically paved the way to the victory, to the free and independent Nagorno-Karabakh Republic – introduced the host of the concert, the coordinator and responsible for the cultural department of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia Levon Chidilyan. He proudly reported about the presence of Mrs. Margarita in the concert hall, the sister of our compatriot from Tbilisi, Commandos Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan.

The presentation of the website of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia was dedicated to the liberation of Shushi. The website is presented in four languages and informs its visitors about the news in the community, activities at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, as well as gives answers to the questions and helps to solve urgent tasks.

At the end of the concert the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan sent his blessing to the audience, he congratulated everyone on the occasion of May triple holiday and thanked all the organizers and participants of the beautiful concert. He also conveyed greetings of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian in honor of the holiday. Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan stressed the importance of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the liberation of Shushi, and added that the liberation of Shushi, as well as other victories of the Armenian Army also contributed to the strengthening of the Georgian state. “Our nations fought together during the World War II. Hence the friendship of these two Christian nations, which has always paved its way to victory and a brighter future, is immortal,”- concluded the Head of the Diocese.

Operating under the auspices of the Educational and Cultural Center "Hayartun" St. Nerses Shorhali Kids and Youth Vocal Ensembles, dance ensembles “Jeyran”, “Mush”, “Ani”, “Vanq” (dance ensemble operating at Tbilisi Public School № 104), solo singers performed folk, patriotic, national songs and dances at the holiday concert.
