The police report that they have taken into custody two twenty year-old men suspected of a string of robberies and assaults in Yerevan.

The first incident took place on March 30, when the two men entered the apartment of a young man and proceeded to beat him up. They got away with 200,000 AMD in cash and some jewellery.

On June 1, the two men, dressed as soldiers, mugged a young man in Children’s Park on Beirut Street, taking his wallet and cell phone.

Police say they stolen goods have been confiscated and that a preliminary investigation has been launched.
